Out Now: What’s Inside Our Indoor/Outdoor Issue

See how some of the city’s best architects and designers are blurring the boundary between inside and out

When architect Nicholas Ancerl first visited the ravine-side property, he was immediately struck by its feeling of solitude. “We felt like we were in Muskoka. The city seemed far away.”

Ancerl incorporated the site into the home with a series of truly unique features, including a polished titanium-clad facade and a stunning hangar door that folds up and erases the boundary between inside and out. The home is, in a word, stunning, and it’s the subject of our cover story in our Indoor/Outdoor issue.

In this issue, you’ll also find:

  • Three more homes that are one with their surrounding environment, including a biophilic condo in the heart of the city by Odami, a house wrapped in glass by Rudy Wallman, and a quiet, East End sanctuary by Anya Moryoussef;
  • Our interview with former city planner and mayoral candidate Jennifer Keesmaat, who’s still on a mission to change Toronto, now as a co-founder of Markee Developments;
  • Our look at Curves by Sean Brown, whose audio/visual rugs sample iconic early-aughts CD artwork for remixes that need to be seen;

And much, much more.
