Andreu World Toronto brings its sustainable take on style to the King East Design District.

Spanish furniture brand Andreu World stands out for more than its prominent designer collaborations. The family business has a strong commitment to sustainability and a forthcoming 2025 mission focused on circular design, rightfully earning Andreu World Toronto its place among the leading players in the King East Design District.

The space’s original blueprint was maintained to achieve a unique browsing experience.

Previously housed within Founded by Garcia’s Dufferin Street showroom, Andreu World Toronto made a move southeastward when Nathaniel Garcia, owner of Founded by Garcia, recognized the need to provide the brand with its own comprehensive experience.

To mark the showroom opening, a launch party in partnership with LIXIL and Azure Magazine was held on June 28—where Toronto’s design community gathered for bites, drinks and an intimate preview of Andreu World Toronto’s eclectic furniture collection.

The shop’s exposed brick walls and soft lighting add a relaxing ambiance to the showroom.

Inspired by Andreu World’s Patricia Urquiola-designed Milan showroom, Garcia was struck by the evolved design concept. “I knew I wanted to recreate this in Toronto as soon as I saw it during Salone del Mobile Milano,” remembers Garcia. In earnest, he invited Hamid Samad and Sara Parisotto of Studio Parisotto Samad for Commute Design Studio to the Milan showroom and promptly asked them to design the Toronto location.

The corporate showroom feel has been replaced with softer lighting, inviting vignettes and vintage elements that bring a tactile touch while capturing the soul of a historically rich building enveloped within the exposed brick walls of Old Town Toronto. Parisotto and Samad meticulously craft every detail to create a multi-sensory experience. Currently restoring their 18th-century Italian villa in the Ferrara region,

“We design in Toronto and fabricate in Italy,” says Samad. Using high-tech fabrication laser 3D printing, the art installations spattered throughout the studio and adjoining showroom furnished with Andreu World pieces bring visual interest, warmth and a sense of the unexpected.

Andreu World’s passion for craftsmanship is matched only by its respect and reverence for the planet. Notably, the brand stands as the first company in the industry to achieve Cradle to Cradle Certification for its entire collection, comprising 6,830 models. And with a new home on King East, Andreu World Toronto has fully immersed itself in the city’s vibrant design scene, fostering deeper connections with those who appreciate a sustainable take on style.
